Yanbaru track. Way up north. So far north, you'll run out of gas before you get to the track.
BUT ITS SO MUCH FUN!!!
I can't wait to get my car back and hit this track, but in the meantime I'm stuck behind the lens. Huge shoutout to my buddy Nick Jackson and his amazing family for allowing us to crash at his rented cabana so we were sleeping comfortably and had a nice warm shower ^_^ some of the other drifters had to stay at the track which is dark...and scary...and mosquito-ey. And dark. And did I say it was scary?
However in my haste to go to this trip, I ended up forgetting all the food and drinks and extra stuff I bought the day before...
Also my mannequin challenge attempt was...interesting ^_^
The "mannequin challenge" isn't as popular here in Japan as it is in the US, so no one knew what it was! Okinawan's are also very conservative people...even the drifters. They get shy and kindly decline to participate, while they cheer you on in the background lol. On top of that my camera decided to freak out and my stabilizer was all but stabilizing... so that was no help either. Also another shoutout to Vish Lazcano of Studio Five who I bullied into translating for me. He did EXCELLENT and really helped me out big time...
But all in all, I always have a great time whenever I'm out with the team and making new friends. I got to knock out my first ever interview with Pryce Portillo (we interviewed twice, the first time I forgot to press record...) UGH I know...I was all over the place...luckily for me I wasn't the only one...see my pics for more ^_^ haha
UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!
